Abstract

The article reviews the European Union financing for Albania from the budget of the Instrument for preaccession for the programming periods 2007 - 2013 and 2014 -2020. The main areas of financing have been outlined, the experience gathered from the first programming period and the lessons learned, the problems in the absorption of funds and the differences in the approaches for the management of the funds during the first and the periods of the Instrument for pre-accession have been analyzed.
