dc.descriptionThe study aims to develop a model for the sustainable development of Bulgarian investment intermediaries by integrating the principles of sustainability into their strategy, risk management, and investment practices. In this regard, a brief literature review of the theoretical foundations of sustainable development and green finance is provided. The results of a survey conducted among Bulgarian investment intermediaries regarding their attitudes toward sustainable development are presented. Based on these results, an original model for sustainable development is constructed and described. The main findings indicate a high declarative consensus in favor of sustainable development, green bonds, and financial innovations, but also reveal fragmented practical implementation, insufficient regulatory clarity, a lack of systematic criteria for sustainable investments, and underdeveloped impact measurement. It is concluded that the sector is at an intermediate stage of maturity and requires a comprehensive model that links policy, processes, and measurable outcomes. The proposed model has practical applicability for investment intermediaries.en
